Meet Bibi Saira — a mehndi artist from Pakistan, now based in Hampshire. Learn her story, the passion behind her henna art, and the family venture at Lymington Saturday Market.
Hi, I'm Bibi Saira.
I'm originally from Pakistan, and I moved to the UK last year with my husband to start a new chapter in our lives. Back home, I built my passion and skills as a mehndi (henna) artist — something that has always been very close to my heart.
After moving to the UK, we began looking for new ways to support our family while also continuing something I truly love. That's when we discovered the idea of joining a Saturday market. It felt like the perfect opportunity to share my art, connect with people, and bring a piece of my culture to the community.
"What started as a simple idea has now grown into something meaningful — a small family venture built on passion, creativity, and community."
This journey has been a team effort. My husband has been incredibly supportive, helping with marketing, building our website, and managing everything behind the scenes at the market. We've also been lucky to receive inspiration and creative ideas from a wonderful friend, Rie Brown, who works with my husband. Her encouragement and unique suggestions helped shape our vision and bring this idea to life.
We're excited to share our work with you and hope you love it as much as we love creating it.
Mehndi has been a part of my life for over a decade — every design is made with genuine love for the craft.
We came to the UK to build connections — sharing our culture at Lymington Market is at the heart of what we do.
A true family venture — every booking, design, and event is supported by the people closest to us.
No appointment needed on Saturdays — walk in and get a beautiful henna design on the spot.
